Tom is a General Partner at iGrow Venture Capital, where he leads the fund’s Legal Affairs division, managing all legal and regulatory aspects of venture capital transactions, early-stage startup investments, and cross-border financing.
With a dual background in law and business, Tom is instrumental in structuring strategic investments and ensuring compliance across iGrow’s portfolio of high-growth technology startups. Prior to joining iGrow, Tom built a distinguished career as Partner at Machas & Partners, heading the Commercial, Corporate, and M&A Practice Group, with expertise in Greek real estate assets and complex international transactions. He notably led the legal advisory team for the €10bn Hellinikon Project, acting as sole legal advisor to the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF).
A Greek-Canadian, Tom holds a Law degree from the University of Athens, an MBA from the University of Nottingham, and postgraduate studies in Taxation from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and recognized by Chambers & Partners, IFLR, and Legal 500 for his pragmatic approach to innovation-driven investments. Tom’s expertise in financing technology companies, tax-efficient investment structures, and regulatory strategy makes him a key driver of iGrow’s mission to accelerate startup growth and innovation.
